The legend of Garret Cooper continues to grow.
When signed in early July, the defending champions were meddling around the .500 mark. On many nights, it was the first-baseman/outfielder who factored in the winning ways of the ball club.
Thursday night was no different.
Cooper notched a pair of hits -- including a home run -- and drove in four runs to carry the Nanooks to a 9-4 win. That triumph now has Vancouver on the verge of a third consecutive title.
The game was decided in the fifth inning, when the Nanooks pushed across seven runs. Nicky Lopez erased a 1-0 deficit with an RBI ground out before Game Four hero, Xander Bogaert put the visitors ahead with a two-run single.
Scoring in the inning was capped after Cooper's two-run single by a Kris Bryant two-run homer. Cooper would add his round tripper in the seventh.
Now up three games to one, the series shifts back to British Columbia where the Canadian side will have their first of three chances to close out their pursuit of immortality.
Game One starter Charlie Morton is slated to face Kolby Allard in Game Five on Saturday.
